Lessons Instruction is offered to the serious student striving to improve their riding and training techniques for competition as well as to the beginning rider wanting to become acquainted with the horse and acquire the skills that can lead to a lifetime of enjoyment. Classes are structured for adults and children. Safety is the first and foremost emphasized principle at Edgelea. Procedures are in place in our teaching methods to keep your child as safe as possible. Students are started in an introductory, private lesson so that the instructor may evaluate their ability and temperament. After a rapport has been established students are placed into appropriate groups. Groups consist of four or less riders. As riders progress they are invited into private lessons to develop their skills and equestrian sophistication.. Private lessons are also very helpful when preparing for competition. Students progress at their own pace and are never forced or pushed beyond their capacity. Students with more competitive goals are identified readily and encouraged to reach their full potential.
